Ben was filming, and caught 'checkers or wreckers' from another angle:

That is me going first with Sean right behind me...

Great weekend at the track...day ended early after tossing in the last turn on lap one of the second F3 heat...was in third...then I dump it:

Thanks to Sean for the onboard video:

I could wish this was signs of things to come, but she insists she has NO DESIRE TO EVER RACE... ok kiddo...

So, I wait for my youngest to grow to the age to make a decision if racing is something he would like to do or not....

Until then, I will race his bike.

Just slapped on an RS125 tail section, needs lots of work, but will be good enough for this weekends racing.

Long hours, long days, long weeks, long months. I am approaching a one week vacation coming up and will soon find myself spending time with the family, relaxing, and even getting back out on the track to do some mini-road racing in PA.

    Can't wait.

I don't care if you ride big bikes (still), minis, or anything in between. If you ride, you will enjoy this film students project to document (in a somewhat artistic way) your track day. Very cool...just reminds me how much I love doing a track walk at 6 am with fog rolling out, just having rolled out of my tent with a hot cup of coffee...

It is time for me to get back to some speed and track to reset my mental health:

Mark your calendars and come out and see some mini racing and support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Central Ohio.

    September 12th, 2009, races begin at 11!

On the off chance you are a new reader (and in case you are an old one, never hurts to revisit), here is a quick post from the past.

The first video, while almost an hour long, is worth every minute. If you happen to be at work, go get some coffee, fire this up on your second monitor, and get "back to work". Alex Roy discusses his quest to beat the cross country time ...

The second video here, (also entertaining) is Alex going over another rallier's R8. Enjoy, I did:

    H O L Y .....

Unbelieveable. Having a 1080p capable box. I have been watching 1080p movie trailers since 10pm. This is unreal.

I am thinking in my head of mounting this display on the wall, plugging in a wireless keyboard and mouse, and making the office a small viewing room! :) I am sure she will love it! HA.

Have to say, having my backups sitting up in the cloud, VERY handy.

To recover my itunes library (really migrate it to my new machine), all it took was installing the Mozy client, downloading and waiting.

To just over 15 hours for over 30GB of data restored. Not bad I don't think.

So for once, I succumbed to just not trying to nurse the old pc back to life.

2 weeks ago my machine was toast, no boot, when it did, it would overheat, then the machine would lock...I mucked a bit, but it was 5+years in the tooth, so it was time to consider a new machine.

Lots of time on the net, trying to determine, Mac or PC. Made a phone call to the only guy I know that is a Mac user. Still struggling to justify the prices...even for mac mini.

    $599, 1GB of ram, 120GB hard drive...

Or, a new HP for $680 with:

    Windows Vista Premium X64
    5GB of RAM
    1/2TB hard drive
    22" 1080p HD display
    Memory card readers
    Intel Dual core 2.4Ghz....

So, I stayed PC. Mac was too much money for me to justify. How could I? I get a free upgrade to Windows 7 come October too. Cool stuff there.

So now, I find myself taking ownership of over 32GB worth of digital pictures on the NDAS box...the XP perms, all wonked up...

Also restoring 49GB worth of data back from Mozy (my itunes library). Other than that, it is just the standard, what am I missing exercise??
