It has been a few long weeks. Lots of changes at work, which I have been trying to fill some gaps. So, finally a weekend hits. Dad came over today, he wanted to work on the bobcat while I was swapping plugs and filters on the BMW (thing hauls now btw...sad that I let the intake get that bad....) Dad replaced the fuel, hydraulic, and oil filters, changed the oil, then we did this...operation degrease. Dad took the 'cat to the track, we pulled out the power washer and the heavy duty de-greaser, and were able to get the 'cat nice and clean...FINALLY. This poor thing, all it needed was some TLC. The major oil leak was the oil drail that had come loose and spewed oil all over....easy remedy. Almost looks new: Thursday, May 07, 2009

As they say, I guess it can happen to anyone. For those of you that know me well, I have been in the past, and when possible, still try to stay abreast on anything Microsoft from a technology perspective. Love them or hate them, they have changed how many things are done with products they have built, bought, introduced...whatever. Tonight, in a I-need-to-catch-up-on-some-security-blogs fit...I wander over to Steve Riley's blog. Then I read his last post. Microsoft eliminated his position...what? Are they serious? If you have ever been to a tech-ed, and if you have ever attended a session, you had to run into one of Steves. His sessions were the ones that were standing room only, that had lines of folks out the door. He is different, he is honest, and he is thought provoking as well...and he did all of these while at Microsoft talking about security as it relates to the MS landscape. I have to wonder why MS would eliminate their Security rockstars position, but I guess you would have to imply that security is not the highest of priorities as of late? Too bad, best of luck Steve, I know we will see you elsewhere in the Security community: http://blogs.technet.com/steriley/archive/2009/05/06/good-bye-and-good-luck.aspx Steve's new Blog: http://msinfluentials.com/blogs/steveriley/default.aspx ![]() Friday, May 01, 2009
